Ed Wyatt has spent the past 17 years in Melbourne, although he has called Portland, Seattle and Los Angeles home.
Ed started out as an English teacher, but soon turned his hand to comedy writing, where he won multiple Emmy awards with the Seattle-based Almost Live! show.
From there Ed transitioned into sports, moving to Los Angeles to helped launch Fox Sports World, the USA’s first-ever TV network dedicated to international sports.
Although his father is an American football coach, Ed has had a lifelong love-affair with the world game, growing up with Soccer Made In Germany on TV and watching Pele, Beckenbauer and Chinaglia in the old NASL.
When he moved to Australia in 2000, Ed immediately found work with SBS, where he covered the NSL as part of the Toyota World Sports show.
Ed has been an integral part of numerous football shows on 1116 SEN radio in Melbourne and has called Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory home games on SEN for the past four years.
Ed has also put his US sports knowledge to good use, hosting the Super Bowl telecast on SBS and the Australian Baseball Championship Series on ESPN and MLB Networks.
A graduate of Stanford University, Ed currently works for Sportsbet, Australia’s leading online betting agency, where he gets paid to watch live sport and create digital content for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
