
Cassandra is a Senior Associate in the Insurance and Corporate Risk practice group.
Cassandra has over ten years’ experience in insurance claims and corporate risk advisory work, and her sports practice includes acting for Australian and international sporting Federations, Clubs and corporations in matters involving commercial disputes, player disputes, sponsorship and image rights issues, and general risk management.
Cassandra is a regular on Australia’s speaker circuit, providing comment and chairing panels relating to her areas of practice, particularly in sports law and on gender equality issues. She has developed a strong reputation in her practice areas, being sought for comment and articles internationally on issues relating to Australia. In September 2018, she travelled to Europe to speak on negotiating international contracts in sports at the Law in Sport conference in London and at the Women in Sports Law Conference in Lausanne.
Cassandra is the immediate Past President of Women Lawyers Association of Queensland, is an Advisory Board Member of Brisbane Heat (Queensland Cricket) and Board Member of Surfrider Australia Foundation. She was named as the 2016 Emerging Leader in the Legal Sector at the Women’s Agenda Awards in October 2016 and is listed in the Who’s Who List of Australian Women in 2015 and 2017.
